sunday's match, 23/11/08 against PMSFC..

going into this match, AFC was third in the league..
with 3 games remaining, AFC had to win all 3 matches to clinch the top spot..
the top 2 teams had played all their matches & the pressure is on us..

things started brightly for AFC though..
just after 10 minutes of play, AFC had taken the lead, with a curling free kick taken by our captain, ferza..
though luck had a part to play due to the wet weather, it was a great free kick..
after getting the lead, AFC searched for more to secure a win..
after much attacks & great defending by PMSFC, our top scorer, syukri, managed to add to his tally, bringing it up to 8 goals just a few minutes before half-time..

having a 2 goals lead, AFC kept on attacking..
PMSFC also had their chances as they didn't just sit back & watched us attacked..
but AFC defence stood strong for the PMSFC..

2nd half..
PMSFC had changed their tactics, but AFC stayed the same..
due to lapse of concentration, PMSFC managed to pull 1 back just after 10 minutes into the break..
2nd half prove to be a hard time as PMSFC wasted no time in throwing attacks after attacks to the AFC defence..
soon, the wall collapsed and PSMFC managed to score the equaliser goal, which had much doubt in it as the ball had gone out in the air, but the ref made no call..
tension were running high as it was a match to win..
AFC den fought back the attacks of PMSFC..

soon later, after some substitution, ferza managed to score yet again with a curling shot passed the keeper, after a great work by the left mid, fareiz..
confidence were high again for AFC & soon later, striker muadz score from a freekick taken by right back asri..
it was the deftest of touches to put the ball pass PMSFC keeper which just stood rooted to the ground..

4-2 it was den..
but things got abit unlucky as defender zul scored an own goal just few minuted to the final whistle..
final minutes of the game prove to be to hardest time as PSMFC searched for the equaliser goal..
but fortunate enough, the ref blew the final whistle soon after..!

4-3 it ended to the AFC..
it was a great match which with this win made AFC much closer to the tittle..!
come on admirals fc!
last 2 games, give it all u can..!
the tittle is for us to decide whether its ours or not..!

finally, after a postponed match last wk, Admirals Fc had a match today..
it was against Beercelona Fc..
it was a must win match for Admirals Fc to challenge for the top spot..

the spirits was there & the hunger to win was shown as soon as the ref blew the whistle..
after just few mins, Admirals Fc managed to score the opening goal after our left-mid, khairi, managed to break free of the opponent defence..
after that, it was all Admirals Fc game..
we dominated much of the 1st half & soon later we were 2-0 up..
thanks to a swift counter attack which caught the keeper in no1's land..
it was a simple tap in by our striker..
but Beercelona also had their chances..
but our defence stood strong..
but soon after, after a great run by Beercelone striker, managed to break the offside trap and slit pass the ball through the legs of our keeper..
2-1 in half time..

2nd half..
Admirals continued attacking to secure a 2 goal lead..
but to no avail..
it seems like our striker scoring boots was left at home when our striker, muadz, miss an open goal a few metres from goal..
tough luck..
chances were not taken & Admirals Fc paid the price..
Beercelone scored a wonderful equiliser with a great volley by their striker..
Admirals were shocked..
we threw men forward & nearly gave Beercelone the lead..

but determination run by our right-mid managed to overun their left back after a long ball from our keeper..
pass 1, pass 2 and GOAL..!
the goal much sought after..
great play..!
Admirals den dominated the game again & managed to score another..
by muadz, hu missed a clear cut chance earlier..
4-2..
it was all Admirals till the final whistle..

it was a great game overall..
come on admirals..!
next wk, pls continue this form..
lets go..!

today admirals fc had a match at cantonment pitch..
against AC United fc..
we were without some of our key players due to some reasons..

the match started at 1..
as usual, as soon as the whistle goes, admirals went attacking..
AC was resilience though, breaking down our attacks & blocking our shots..
but den, a counter att from AC United saw AFC down by a goal..
a shot deceived our keeper wif its bumpy bounce & into the net..

but that didn't kept AFC spirits down..
we went on att searching for an equalising goal..
soon, from a long kick from our keeper, found our syammirrul open..
the ball was den send into the AC penalty area, which fareiz chased & managed to get a penalty, surrounding him were 2 defenders & their keeper..
up came our CB zul to take the spot kick..
so, Goal it was, equalising goal..
1st half ended 1-1..

2nd half..
AC made our defence work as they attacked wif much quality..
but AFC stood strong..
att after att & AFC had no luck..
the ball just can't seem to end into the back of the net..
disaster struck as AC striker managed to pounced into a long ball & wriggled his way through..
2nd goal for the AC United..
now Admirals FC had to work hard..
after some substitutions, we finally got a goal back..
from our sub, nizam..
great play from the right hand side with an overlapping run from nashri, finished off wif a great goal..
2-2 it was now..

final whistle & it ended up as such..
it was a great game & good comeback again admirals!

next game..!
